This is so important because the differences between browsers and their versions are quite significant, and the rendering behaves differently for each browser. Without concrete measures, the visualizations on one and the same page on every browser look a little different or significantly different, which would ultimately harm your brand.

Google PageSpeed Insights

Since April 2015, Google has ranked the optimization of FRONTENDs for both desktop devices and smartphones. Since March 2018, Google has introduced the Mobile First Index: Google prefers the mobile version of a page to assess its relevance to the majority of mobile users.

 

Back in 2011, Google made a tool publicly available to check a website for these aspects.

 

But often the mistake is made to enter only the start page, so the domain, such. https://www.myDomain.com

 

However, IconParc's typical E-Commerce platforms range from 10,000 to 2,000,000 (!) Pages indexed by Google. This includes a wide variety of contents and visualizations - cf. the list of page scenarios above. In addition, the output of many page content is dynamic, that is, they look different due to personalization of each customer. Therefore, it is important to review at least all structurally different page scenarios individually using Google Tools.

That's why we've developed a bot that runs automated tests on the Google API with samples of various pages. We keep an eye on our platforms and optimize them continuously.

Security is a top priority in the IconParc E-Commerce Suite. Our platforms are subject to regular penetration tests conducted in the form of audits by independent companies specializing in this field.

 

A small excerpt of our security measures:

  • The SQLs of the IconParc E-Commerce Suite are protected against any kind of attack (injection-proof)
  • Issues are always encoded. JavaScript injection is also not possible
  • Entries are always validated
  • The IconParc E-Commerce Suite is not based on PHP, so this type of attack vectors will not work
  • Sessionkeys are not part of the URLs, so sessions can not be compromised
  • Bruteforce attacks (e.g., dictionary attack, vulnerability testing) are detected and suppressed, see ours

The modules

Multi-Layer Architecture

The modular IconParc E-Commerce Suite is the basis for successful B2B E-Commerce solutions. It is characterized by easy extensibility, flexibility and high performance. The standard framework forms the basis for all modules and is compatible with common operating systems such as Windows and Linux. The core consists of a high-performance database such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, the IconParc Application Server (IPACT) and an extensive library that grows daily. The system owes its high performance in particular to the Java Application Server (64 bit), which together with an Apache web server forms the interface to the Internet. All applications implemented on this basis can be operated entirely via a web browser. Additional client installations are therefore no longer necessary. The library offers extensive functionalities that are available to all modules and enable their seamless integration. The modules cover a wide range of application scenarios and can be supplemented with additional modules as required. With the help of the integrated development environment, subsequent as well as individual extensions and adaptations can be implemented within a very short time. This allows your company to profit quickly from changing market conditions.
